In the timeframe of a couple months, I discovered Seddit and moved from a job in property maintenance to a junior sales position (read: cold-calling business' IT departments all day) and had to embrace an entirely different set of skills on the job. I've been lucky enough to get a job at a very young, new company where they place a very high value on training the team. As a 20 year old college male, I immediately noticed a ton of parallels between my sales training courses and a lot of pickup/seduction advice. I've been slowly working on integrating techniques from both into my daily life, and the immediate difference one perceives in dealing with any type of person, let alone women, is surprisingly awesome. I wanted to share some of the advice that's worked best for me. Some of it is probably already present in the sidebar info and in other popular posts, but it's my opinion that hearing this stuff over and over again and ingraining it in your subconscious is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

You are financially independent and don't need the money. While this may not be true in all cases, you need to bring this mindset to sales calls and interactions with potential clients. If they hear desperation in your voice, the last thing they are going to want to do is waste their valuable money on you. This lines up clearly with the idea of an abundance mentality. You have to act like you get girls all day, every day, and whoever you happen to be speaking to is just another potential score. People flock to those who have power/money/influence, not to those who have a lack of it. This one leads closely into...

No one can affect your internal self image. How do you rate your internal self? Independent of your work, school, accomplishments, etc.? If you rate yourself as anything less awesome than a 10, it’s going to harm your interactions with people, especially women. You have to remind yourself constantly how awesome you are and why other people would want you in their world. Consequently, you are aware that you are not going to win every person over. The knowledge of this fact is power; no one can ever bring down your internal self-rating because you never let any failure or rejection lower this score. Never. Let. ANYONE. Make you feel bad about yourself. This knowledge also leads you to realize...

Every success is built in part by your past failures. When speaking to us about cold calls at one of my training sessions, the instructor asked: “How many times would you dial that phone if you knew every time you did, you were going to get $20?” Obviously a lot. But he wasn’t bullshitting. I might have to make 100+ calls before I get a prospect that turns into a client, but when that client pays out at the end of the month, I can assign a dollar value to every single lame phone call I made that didn’t achieve anything because I HAD to make those calls to reach the one person who pays out. So, how many women would you approach if you knew every 10, 15, or 20, guaranteed you getting laid? You’d bust your ass! Every girl you score is built not only on your awesomeness, but on your failures and rejections. Get out and learn. (I’m no expert here, I myself need to focus on cold approaches.)

Qualify your prospects on the spot, and then get out. Why would I waste my time on the phone with someone shooting the shit if we both know that he’s not going to buy anything? Now this isn’t to say some of your approaches might not yield some kind of benefit aside from sex, but figure out on the spot if the girl is going to consider you as a sexual partner or not. If you’re too afraid to make your intent known (letting her know you’re attracted/letting her know you want to get with her) or you know in the long run that your efforts aren’t going to reap any rewards, get out. You’d rather know sooner than later so you’re not wasting precious energy and resources on someone who is doing nothing for you, or a girl who is not going to sleep with you but accept your “free consulting” (dates, attention, etc.)

Build your pipeline, it will pay your salary for years to come. I realize this is slightly contradicting to the last thing I said, but it is a valuable piece of advice. Leads that seem to have gone dark for months frequently result in $10,000+ sales at my company. The key aspect here is marketing to everyone but not giving out “free consulting.” I met a smoking hot part-time model my freshman year at my university who had a boyfriend. She was very friendly with me anyways. I chose to not play the skeezball and treat her with respect, but I wasn’t going to shower attention and flirtation on her if she wasn’t in a position to accept it and return on my investment. Nearly two years later, I messaged her on FB (she’s now single) and ended up going with her and her sister to our school’s football game and having a blast. She flirted the whole time and made tons of physical contact. At this stage, I fired away with every ounce of charm I had, and we’re going on a date tomorrow evening. Every girl is a prospect, it’s simply a matter of time. Don’t send out quotes to prospects who aren’t qualified, though.

Take every ounce of advice you get and dilute it into your own formula. I personally think this might be the most important of all. Some of the advice you get from PUA/seduction stuff sounds a little outrageous or crazy. Don’t get me wrong here, you have to jump feet first into the water sometimes, but if something doesn’t fit with who you are, don’t do it or put your own spin on it. One of my co-workers complained that she didn’t like one of the cold opening techniques our instructor was telling us about. “Fine,” he replied. “Don’t use it. If you think it sucks, it’s going to show when you do it and it IS going to suck. Plus you’ll subconsciously want to fail in order to prove yourself right.” So, do it until it feels right or make it yours. Don’t go be a goddamn pickup machine vomiting lines and techniques you learned on the internet. That’s fake, and it probably won’t get you anywhere, and if it does, you know the girl actually isn’t into YOU. My boss, we’ll call him John, is a phenomenal salesman. I walked into his office for my interview hesitant about working in sales, and by the time I walked out, I couldn’t wait for my first day. But he always says, “Don’t be a second-rate John, be a first-rate damienshredz.” I go to a heavily party-oriented university, and I’ve accepted that I am not a trashy frat guy and I’m only extraverted enough for about 1 party a weekend. BUT, I do know that I’m still fucking awesome because I’m an amazing musician, in great shape, able to make women laugh, and very good at being the charming gentleman. I take girls out to nice dinners who haven’t been out to one in months because guys only invite them to parties, and they notice and appreciate in a huge way. I don’t neg because I personally think it’s a stupid fucking tactic, and I would suck at it if I tried because of that. I compliment girls unashamedly, play guitar for them, care about the trivial details of their personality and appearance, and tease them in a way that doesn’t hurt. Do what you’re good at, it will pay off. If you’re not good at anything yet, find out what it is! Then do it and learn and it breathe it. From seduction techniques to hobbies, careers, and so forth, investing in yourself is the absolute greatest thing you could ever do. After all, at the end of the day, you are the only thing you really have. Hone yourself into a powerful, effective instrument and you will undoubtedly see the rewards in every aspect of your life.
That’s about all I have for now, I apologize if anything I wrote sounded like a reiteration of some of the basics over here on seddit. Also, I know I sprinkled in some business/sales jargon. It was not an attempt to sound professional or superior, I’m simply relaying my daily life at work in terms that I understand it in. Hope this was, if anything, at least a good reminder and motivator for you guys! Least I can do to payback for all the great stuff I’ve picked up here.
