Due to unavoidable obligations, I'll be working in a smaller town for the next year or two (~60k metro population). I know that the general stance on approaching in a small town is to not. I work a role that will become increasingly public over time where maintaining a public reputation is necessary. Though if my public reputation is for some reason poor in a couple years there's another larger metro I can easily move to. I have a very in demand job. Dating apps are abysmal here and too low ROI to bother with.
I love approaching, am experienced with it, and have no issues with it, I just fear getting recorded or getting posted on the local Facebook groups or something and becoming "that guy". Would you guys still do it anyway, just exclusively if a girl is exactly my type and flashes really strong IOI's? Or play it totally safe and not approach at all? I'm a good looking guy, jacked, dress well, good job, good social status. Is there that much risk in approaching if done with calibration to one's reputation?
My other option is social circle game and community involvement which I have been working a bit and aim to work more in time. I'm already involved with church, the gym, and volunteering. There are also community events that get posted on social media, an ex girlfriend of mine used to attend those. You guys have any luck with those? The bars here are either old drunks, tweakers, or trailer trash so that's out of the picture.
Seems like spinning plates or any sort of casual dating would be tougher here, considering how hard it is to source leads here, LTR seems like the move whereas I might not go that route in a city of a million plus.
