Also, there isn't a single opener out there that is successful 100% of the time. If there was, everybody would use it. If the girl has heard that same opener 30 times before, she's going to realize that you're just like all the other guys and just wants to have sex with her.

The best thing that you can do is to be direct and use an opener like "Hey, I thought you looked cute, I just had to come over to say hi" or something like that. As I've said before, it doesn't matter what you say, it's how you say it. If you use a direct opener casually, the girl is going to think that you're sarcastic and she's going to be offended by it.

As for further conversation tips:

EYE CONTACT YOU FUCKING SON OF A BITCH! If you don't make eye contact, it shows that you're insecure. Eye contact is the most important part conversation. I can't stress this enough. EYE CONTACT!
Another thing on eye contact. You should avert your gaze every 5 to 10 seconds. Go from her left eye to her right eye to her lips and up to her left eye again.
Make sure to listen to her. Not just her words, but her body language as well. Now, a lot of people will tell you to look for IOIs, but you should look for the absence of IODs(Indicator of Disinterest) instead. I mean, if a girl flips her hair, it might just be coincidental. If she gives you an IOD, you should stop what you're doing right away.
Don't be afraid to approach girls that really hot (8,9,10). They're used to being approached by guys, which means that they're used to it. They mostly won't reject you too harshly, as they don't want to crush that 1% of guys that is going to overreact to a rejection.
If you're new, you shouldn't get afraid of rejections. Rejections aren't as bad as you think. The worst rejection that you will get is just a "FUCK OFF YOU FUCKER!", and that's most likely because the girl is having a bad day. You shouldn't think that you control her opinions of you 100%. You control 50% of her opinion of you.

Now, you also mentioned that you're going out on a night. Can you be more specific? Are you going to a bar, a club or are you just on the street?
You also want your opener to be funny, but the thing is, an opener is just to get the girl's attention and to let her know why you're there. You can follow it up with something funny, like "Hey I though you looked cute, I just to come over to say hi. My name is [NAME]". After you've done a handshake, you should hold her hand and move closer to her. You should say this in a more flirtatious tone (speak slower and speak in a lower pitch) "Now what do you say, want to go to Las Vegas' marry me and gamble all of our money away?" When she says "no", and she's being all playful about it, you can follow it up with "No? Alright, how about a quick kiss then?". If she gives you a more serious "No" to the Las Vegas question, you should let go of her hand and take a few steps backs. This shows that you're aware of your boundaries and unwilling to overstep them.

As for the "How about a quick kiss then" part, 50% of girls will kiss you right away. The other 50% won't do it (at least, not right away), but most of them will be blown away by your confidence.

Also, do not blindly copy my examples. You should create your own, based on the current situation. If you prefer indirect over direct, go ahead. I know it sounds cliche, but you should just be yourself.

Do not follow this blindly. Make up your own stuff, based on the current situation and you personality. Just be yourself when it comes to this.

When you see the girl don't hesitate go open go in blank something will pop up, do these a couple of times the first interaction will suck for sure even if you think you have a good opener so do at least 3 with girls that aren't that hot and once your in the zone go open 8 9 and 10's.
