I have a story to tell about my life and the progress I have made. It relates to this subreddit in the end. I have had a tough child-hood, only because I have allowed it. I have had issues with social anxiety, depression, confused AF, possibly suicidal, lonely, toxic, loser with no hopes and dreams. I have done a lot in my life to get rid of it.

Now as far as a few things that I have done to fix that includes a few different solutions. I have gone to psychiatrists, don't really help out my life much. They only tell you to come up with a plan and hope you do something with it. For the most part they just want to you to talk about yourself and your feelings (mainly meant for women imo). I have done spiritual cleansing which was the biggest help out of all of the things I have done before. It was helpful to be able to rethink of your problem and come up with multiple solutions. I felt much better after that. I have also tried door-to-door sales in order to get over my anxiety. It was somewhat helpful to get out of my shell but then again not really. I was mainly training to become a professional with a purpose when talking to strangers, not making strangers into friends.

One of my other problems associated with the host of other issues I described from above lead to not having a girlfriend as I am basically a total loser that plays video games and does nothing to help himself. Negativity can be an ugly road, especially when it has been over 10 years living the same negative way.

I know this has been getting a little too long already so thanks for reading this far! :D

As far as my story, just yesterday I was planning on going with the boys out to a bar/ club by the beach. I was already getting comfortable at 9:00pm when I was thinking to myself, "I am so comfy here, why bother going?". Then I thought briefly about the whiteboard I have on my wall that details my goals, new habits I am forming, lessons learned from last week, tasks to do and the week of the year it is. This helps me stay on top of myself. This time I put a wager for myself, $100 into savings if I don't complete my goals. One of my goals was to befriend 5 new people and solo game for at least 10 girls. So going back to going out, I decided on going out with the boys and was able to force myself into talking to a pretty hispanic girl from the area. We just talked about basic things but it didn't matter as I was able to get out of my comfort zone. I managed to impress my friends and more importantly, I felt good about myself by just approaching her and maintaining a small conversation. I kept the momentum going by making small talk with other girls. It never lead to much but I felt confident. I felt good. I felt in control over myself and my future. I decided to get more ambitious and try something new. I wanted to see if I could convince some other guy to do something because I said so. I told him to go talk to a girl. I was impressed because I told him to do something and he did it! My friends are pretty lame sometimes and start making excuses. Anyways, I wanted to up ante even further by talking to a girl I saw earlier and I thought was GORGEOUS! As soon as my friends and I were about to leave I went up to that girl and told her, "Hi, I just wanted to say that you are gorgeous!". She ended up introducing her friend over to me, which was unexpected. Overall, it was a great night for my personal development.

TLDR: Had 10+ years of beating myself up for the most part, last night I went to a bar/ club and talked to a few girls and felt confident with myself.

So basically what I wanted to ask is, why is the sky blue?
