I've been consistently going out every weekend for the past month. I've had some successes, but many many many rejections. I'd say I have a 7% batting average, where 7% of the sets "stick" so to speak, where I can carry on a conversation and perhaps even go kino. However, that 93% has begun to take its toll. At first, I had it in good frame to see it as a learning experience. "This rejection means nothing" I would think to myself. However, while I still don't particularly get butthurt at being rejected by an individual, it still stings just a bit. The accumulated rejections are starting to really take their toll and making me feel like shit. I find myself holding back the ballsy stuff once I get a set open because I'm anticipating a brutal rejection. Last weekend, I opened an Asian girl (HB10) and her "protector" friend just went batshit insane on me. Brutally insulted me and took apart my character, saying that I only wanted to talk to her Asian friend because I wanted to fuck her. Logically, I know rejections mean nothing. However, emotionally I feel drained from nonstop rejection. I've been really putting "work" in with this whole pickup stuff and trying to stack the numbers in my favor. And while I've had a few successes, the rejections are starting to weigh me down. I'd love to hear your guys' suggestions on how to deal with this. Thanks!
