Talking about other people.

Is it wrong to gossip with a girl you're trying to seduce? By that I mean talking about other people. I really avoid talking about other people, but sometimes it's the most interesting thing to talk about and the girl always has reactions based on it. Would it be bad game to say something like 'Yeah blah and blah always gets really good grades. He's really insecure though blah blah blah'
