I went on a date, and scheduled another for Sunday evening, but we both forgot it was Easter, so that was cancelled.

Me: Did you want to do Tuesday or Wednesday Her: Hi. I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I have been casually dating someone for the past month and it seems to be getting more serious recently. I think I should figure out where that is going before I start seeing someone else. Hope you understand. Me: If it works out, awesome. If you end up free again, I'd still like you to get ahold of me. If I'm free, we'll go have some fun. Deal? :-) Her: Deal. Thanks.

For whatever reason, people have a hard time pulling up their big girl pants and doing the above instead of just fading, so I figured I'd act like a grown up myself. I've set it, and will forget it unless she gets ahold of me. I don't really run in her same circles, so there wouldn't be any other way to see if she were single or ready to date without the risk of things being awkward if she wasn't (plus there are millions of other people out there in the meantime.) I figured I'd leave the door open and be non-confrontational.

EDIT: Thanks for the responses.
