I was a horrible texter during my college years and the key for me to improve was just to practice. If you can find girls to message that is great but if not just text a friend that is good at texting and pickup things from his style and incorporate it into your style.
For openers I'm not into puns or memes I just read their bios and examine their pictures for something interesting to talk about. I matched with a girl last night who is from a known party school. She had no bio and her pictures were pretty standard so I said "I hear you UT students love to party haha". It got her attention and she responded and I'm still messaging her now. Basically just work with what is available it definitely helps if you can make the opener relevant to them.
General tips are just to throw in an exclamation mark, emoji, or lol every now and then but make sure it's appropriate. Also when you are just starting to message them within the first 5 messages or so I'd advise you to follow up with questions after you respond to her. This keeps them engaged once they are really into the conversation you can stop with the constant questions. Give her a chance to continue the conversation. If she is dull or just lets the conversation die she isn't worth your time.
Some days are better than others I might get 1/10 responses one night and on another 4/5. Just be persistent and keep practicing.

Good tips. Thanks. It's getting annoying that three messages later I'm not even going to get a reply back. The chick is online but has obviously ignored the previous message. I've learned to move on, but when it's happening with each convo it sucks.

role play that you break up is pretty good. Say you are super cute plz tell me you are a dog person works pretty well.
then say you seem cool text me on .
Matches that's a whole different story all i did was tinder game a while so got pretty good at text game.
Just be fun stand out and be playful. Had this girl invite me over after 4 text she said i was just so different.
But mostly it's practice makes perfect.

He means you roleplay that you two are together, and then Break up. There's an opener where you tell the girl that in your mind you already married her, but after some years, she cheated on you with the pool boy because you got lazy, so you now get a divorce and you want to keep the dog.

Yep pretty much except i woulden't say she cheated on me. Since im cocky im usually more like. Well we broke up cause you were just to inncocent for me. Which also creates a snap back effect and she prove she is not inncocent.

That's one of the best way I know to improve your text game. And if you don't improve with this... well you'll have had at least a lot of fun !
