So perspective of a newbie here, there are so many books so many PUAs but all their systems are so different in so many ways. But sometimes guys like us gets very confused what to believe and which is the most effective one. Some tell you to be simply a jerk, some tell you fun and try to get a fun vibe in the girl. And then there are few like Mark Mason who tell you connect emotionally with the girl.

I have known about pickup for almost 2 yrs and in the whole time i have been always looked after the nitty gritty stuffs like having fun openers, escalating physical and all those things but they were practically that helpful and didn't gave the desired results that the PUAs proposed. They were fun at first but became somekind of mission. I used to get overtly obsessed about posture,my tonality, trying to figure out the signals the girl was giving and so on.Basically it became too much outcome oriented and then all the fun was gone.

Then i tried the jerk method. It was fine and fun at first but then things started getting worse. It told to treat girls less like human beings and more like a emotion box where you just have to pull the right strings to play. This actually gave me very bad perspective about women which i didn't realized at first. But now when i have understood that i realized i just don't like to view women like that and all this time my subconscious mind was resisting it so i wasn't getting any good with that mindset.I felt very bad,and was feeling kinda guilty by approaching girls from that mindset, which i thought at that time was what you call "feeling Shame about sexuality" and nice guy syndrome,i don't know may be i was right. Then i somehow developed the 'trust issues' stuff now i kinda cannot trust women. My previous posts will make it more clear. I'm trying to fix it now.

I read Models by Mark Manson a few days ago and i really loved it.It seemed very realistic and effective and it also started giving me results not in a big way but definitely things were faster than the other systems. And i also liked his perspective on the whole thing. But again today i read a bit of 'the book of pook',it again told from a different perspective. Again i started thinking was the jerk method right.

Can you guys relate and what do you think is the most effective.Though the basic things are common in all the systems.
