Hi guys!!

I consider myself an slightly above average guy, tall, not fat, a regular guy with curly hair and blue eyes. Some years ago I discovered The Game, and started to read some material, it caught my attention deeply for a couple of months, learnt some things and started hitting the streets. I used to pay attention to everyone checking people and deciding if the girls were ready to be approached. During that period I did a really low number of interactions (according to what the pros recommend) and got decent success. In that period I already had come to think that it was not about hitting the streets but about doing what you wanted to do. By that I mean, I've seen many girls that I wanted to talk to and I was too scared to try. After that period in my life the rejection anxiety faded and I was able to do as I wanted most of the times.

Then I started a LTR with a girl I met during my regular life but the lessons I had learnt helped me manage it properly and show interest when I had to, keep momentum, etc.

I've been single for two months now and I started reading again to see how the thing was doing when this morning I stumbled on a post on a blog (of a different thing but a coacher) that talked about what The Game can do to people. It was about a guy that was only counting interactions and how he has left his hobbies etc so he could pursue his daily "sales". I saw myself in that guy, thanks God it was an old myself and I didn't stay in that state more than a couple of weeks at most but I saw the potential risks. Yesterday I had seen a video about how you should approach at least a girl per day so I downloaded a conting app and started marking the days I hand't talk to anyone. After seeing the post I decided I'd change it to how many times I hadn't done what I wanted (talk to X) and how many times I had done what I wanted to regarding to initiating talks.

So to sum up, after all this time knowing this community (3/4 years) I've come to realize what I'm going to make part of my life and it is:

  • We men like to talk with attractive girls, there's no shame on it and some of those girls are really happy to talk with strangers that are actually interested in them as A PERSON
  • I like being social, with men, women, kids, whoever I'm quite open so I'm not faking what's good.
  • I won't make hitting the streets days, I will live my life and I'll meet people while I do it and then I will be confident and myself
  • Being a man sometimes is hard but it feels great.
  • Be selective and only try to get into contact with people that you like, not phone farming.

So, this morning I went to the university's library to prepare an exam and I saw a girl during lunch that caught my eye. She was busy with pc and eating so I decided I wouldn't interrupt her there, she might be preparing an inminent exam. I went back to study and I got surprised when I saw her on a table on an empty-ish group's room (where you can talk) so I took my place and prepared myself for work when I suddenly saw her get her head to the table, like being sad, so I went up to her table with a post it with an smile and positive message, sat in front of her and told her how she was doing, she looked sad and I had brought her a happy post it to cheer her up. She said she'd fallen asleep thanked me for waking her and started talking for a decent time, then I said I had to go back to study, asked her for her number and she said she had no phone right now (she's from a different country), that she'd have one in a couple of days but that we'd probably meet in the library these days and it would be nice. I said bye and went back to my studies.

I think I did something positive for her and I felt great because I did what I wanted to do even when the outcome wasn't the one I prefered.

I'd like to know your opinion about what I said about The Game, by that I mean, do you see it as something that can be toxic?

PS: After reading it, the post seems quite irrelevant, but I felt like sharing it with you guys.
