No. Don't do this. Especially in the current climate of feminism.

Women don't want to be led around by some stranger. Only a long-term partner gets to "take them out". A stranger should be casually meeting up.

Also, "I know you are probably seeing someone" is about the most insecure thing you could ever do. Essentially, you don't know that she's seeing someone, but you're making the assumption that she's going to reject you and then handing her the means by which to do it.

When you want to go out with someone, just tell them "hey, feel like meeting up for a drink?" or something equally low-pressure and casual.

As a girl, good for you for trying! To be honest, if it were me and I responded that way, it would be because I wasn't interested. The clearest indication is that first of all, she didnt take you up on your offer. Second - She responded with a closed ended sentence. The ''Thank you'' leaves no or very little room for continuing the conversation.

To me, that's a sign of non-interest. The fact that you've invested this much thought into a girl at the top of the trees is a sign that you might not be putting much effort into getting dates from people other than your cousins' friends. In other words, c'mon man, you can get tons of dates out there through other ways! You have dating apps, meetups, day-game, night-game, there aren't any excuses anymore!

First of all, props to you for even trying to take her out knowing she sees someone else. I first want to give you a piece of advice, to avoid a situation where you are the one that needs to guess what she means. This is:

Saying "(...) grab dinner one day" projects some sort of uncertainty, for both sides.
Instead, saying "Let's grab dinner next friday" is less uncertain, and you will either get a 'yes' or a 'no'. So no guessing what she means.

How can you expect her to give you a certain answer if the question itself is uncertain?

For now, I would personally say "Cool, how about [day] at [time]?". She can then say 'yes' or 'no' to the date.
