Dear seddit,

last friday I talked with a friend of mine, let's call her X. X was out with her friends and had a typical "Wooo-girl" attitude. Apparently she was drunk and as noble as one could be I exploited the situation a little bit. We talked about stuff she normally wouldn't tell me, e.g. the fact that she knew that I have a little crush on her incredible hot friend, let's call her Y. And some other stuff, which was interesting, but doesn't matter right now. So the next day I wrote X a message about the nonrelevant stuff. Knowing that Y would read it too, I thought: "why don't you 'involve' her?". So I wrote, that "if you (meaning Y) read this message I'd like to apologize for my importunacy ..." (just some texts, nothing which would frighten her off) "... and that I find you incredibly hot and would like to sleep with you. After that we could also talk a bit, so that I'd learn something about you." I did as they say: "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose." Y didn't made the appearance to be interested in me anyway, so why not?

First the good news: I got Ys attention. The next day X told me, that she still was drunk the next morning, so Y read the message to her. It was a funny situation to X and she also thanked for my directness. Today Y wrote me and now comes the tricky part: with a slight touch of anger Y asked what this was about and I should write such messages directly to her and shouldn't involve her friend.

Now what?

Should I apologize and nonetheless stick to the "I still find you incredibly hot"-thing? Shouldn't I apologize and go with a tone of "you would've told her anyway and this way I got you attention"? Or something completely different?

All help appreciated!

edit: substituted some 'she's and 'her's with X and Y for clarity. Help still appreciated!
