To those of you in the UK, how do you typically open girls in a bar setting? And after the opener, what sort of questions/statements do you make in the first minute or so to get a conversation started?

I'm curious. Lots of literature I read is directed towards day game, and also, most of it is aimed at Americans, where people are much more friendly and open to being approached - also things like introducing yourself and shaking their hand would be way too formal in the UK.
