I asked, she said she was up front because she didn't like it when people ghosted her or left her wondering. Fair enough, although she wasn't in danger of ghosting me since I hadn't contacted her in the first place.
You're probably right though, she seemed like a decent person and not petty.

Well, like I said, she wasn't in any danger of ghosting me, since I hadn't contacted her. And I didn't give her any indication that I was wondering about her.
Her response made me think, is she referring to herself, did she feel like she was left wondering or being ignored?

I'm on the fence of thinking she's trying to push-pull you. If she's all that not interested, why was she thinking of you to make that contact if she's into somebody else? Why contact you to say "hey, btw, just letting you know you got competition and you're behind"? I mean, this is the kind of thing that'd work on a girl, and she's a girl, so maybe she's using that on you? The rules follow: "pay attention to what she does, not to what she says", and "always assume attraction".

She's being honest and forthright, a bit unorthodox as many girls hate to reject a guy openly and would prefer to do the "too busy" approach hoping you go away.

Yeah, it's definitely done.
Just a little strange though, since we didn't set any expectation to hang out again and I never contacted her after the date. I guess she thought I'd eventually ask her out again and she just wanted to get out ahead of it.
