So yesterday I made a post here asking for some last minute advice about asking a girl out that I carpool to my morning sports practice.
To say that I was nervous would be an understatement. I couldn't sleep at all last night, I basically just sat in my bed for 5 hours. When I picked her up this morning, we just had a casual conversation, but she doesn't talk much so I didn't say much of anything either. She also prefers sitting backseat (which I left out of the last post). When we pulled up to our training facility and started to walk inside, it took me a second to get the courage, but I in fact did ask her if she wanted to get breakfast after practice. It took her a second but she agreed.
The thing is, she told me she didn't have any money. Since she's not really a stranger anymore, I offered to buy her breakfast (hopefully I won't regret that). So afterwards, she told her friend who carpools her that she was going with me, and then we went to Denny's. This time she rode shotgun.
Honestly, I thought everything went well. Is there chemistry? Probably, but I really don't know what that means. It doesn't matter that much to me anyways. I am not one to like searching for topics though, but she did ask me a few questions, I asked her some. I just feel like I came off like an interviewer though and I hate doing that. One thing that did catch my attention on the ride over was that she said she was going to see End Game with some guy soon, but I disregarded that. She agreed to go on the date. As long as she didn't bring up a boyfriend I was going to be happy.
Overall, I am happy that I had my first date in 2 years, which was a fucking disaster. If anyone has any suggestions or comments on what to do next please let me know. I have no idea where to go from here. I'm not ghosted yet, but I don't want to spin in the mud.
