I posted this on r/personalfinance but it got clobbered pretty hard.

I find 30k millionaires fascinating - making $30k a year but buying bottle service and nice clothes to impress people.

What are the most cost effective ways to impress people? Watches? Hardly anyone would notice a Philippe Patek, or even a Rolex. Nice car? Maybe lease a BMW or Audi. A lot of the stories I've read say to get roommates.

Now of course if your game is good enough this stuff is not necessary. I just think it's an interesting thing to think about.
