No. As long as you're coming from a place of being of value. I went to an RSD immersion program and we we're taught to be man-to-woman and to make our intents clear from the get-go. Not from a "I want your approval" kind of place, but from a "You're cute and I want to see if your cool too" kind of place. 'Cool' being the kind of chicks you want in your life, and screening her for it. Being all pull and no push leaves no room for her to chase. Find reasons to occasionally push her away, after you've established your value, and then continue the conversation. She'll start to chase you to get your approval back and wonder if she's your type. Know what you like and don't like in a girl, and this will more naturally happen. "I thought you were cute and wanted to talk to you," sounds really beta and approval-seeking. "You're cute," and then actually talking with her is better. Rather than "I wanna take you out on a date," try, "Hey, I know a coffee place right around the corner. Let's go get some coffee together." This is what's worked for me. Leading with my intentions rather than telling her about them to gauge her reaction. That said, there's a lot of value in being 100% honest and growing from it. Going out and finding out from first-hand experience is exciting. I encourage you to go out and to test everything. Find what works for you. As a newbie your only focus is going out and testing things. Where's a place you can practice a lot of game? How many days of the week are you realistically able to dedicate to working on your game? Which days? Who are the people you can bring with you to push each other and grow? Where can you find people who are good at game and learn from them?

It's funny that your greatest concern is that this approach is too "nice guy". The first words that come to my mind are "boring" and "cliche". This is your first impression, so what you say in those first few seconds matters a great deal.

Citizen Kane would not be considered a great movie if they cut out the middle 90 minutes about Kane's life and just went straight to the shot of when they show you what Rosebud really was. Suspense (wondering what will happen next) affects every aspect of our lives, but it is especially important in seduction because suspense evokes feelings. You can use what you are calling the "honest approach" (and what I am calling the "boring/lazy approach"), but I have never seen it work all that well.

Johnny Berba is one of the best day game mentors in the business IMO. The honest approach is not perceived as "nice guy." Within your honest approach everyone has their own style. RSD Luke is good to watch also. Just take action.

Being completely honest is ideal. Mindfucking her by feeding her bullshit is a dick head thing to do. Maintain your class and dignity. She technically can't be mad at you if you were straight up honest about your intentions.
I don't really see how "I really want to take you back to my place to fuck like crazy" could be too "nice guy." Obviously, this wouldn't be your opening line, and I'm just using the most brutally honest example.

And good God, call her hot, pretty, sexy, gorgeous, beautiful. Anything, but cute. If I heard "cute" Id cringe and walk away. Please tell me you guys aren't being told to say cute.
