Authentically confident guys are super attractive…also it’s okay to not smile…imagine doing that the whole time in front of the girl you like…it’s uncanny.

It’s possible you’re overthinking, but it’s good you have awareness of some opportunities to improve yourself. I think if you put yourself in environments/places that “spark joy” you’ll naturally attract people to you. Also depending on where you’re at, you might just be in a place with the wrong kinda ladies and it’s NOT a you problem…I try to be nice to guys if they approach me (they don’t lol, because I don’t smile and I’m introverted), but if one does, I respect their bravery and initiative. I can empathize w fear of rejection…it’s scary and sucks.

Yes being absolutely confident in yourself, confident in what you do and say, and comfortable in your own skin, is very important. But it’s easier said than done.

What happens if you are cheerful and approach her like “hey girls i think you are really cute what’s your name” and the first thing she responds is one of the following:

“Isn’t it weird that you are approaching strangers on the street?”
“Do you do this often? I mean it’s kinda weird?”
“Are you hitting on me? 😒”
“Do you say that to every girl?
“I usually don’t date guys like you”

A lot of guys who read they have to be confident, would shit their pants if the girl reacted like this from the get-go. They would get nervous, confused, uncomfortable, as they steadily lose their initial cheerful confident momentum they build up.

That’s because it’s one thing to tell yourself to be confident when there is no pressure, and a whole different one to actually be confident under pressure like this that women are likely to create to test you.

Most guys when faced with a situation like this resent the girl and think she was just being a bitch and other guy will say that she was just being a cunt and to move on. But in reality those are nothing but easy tests that a true confident guy can easily pass and the girls will then respond massively positive as a result.

And like you said if you feel anxious and nervous and you then try to hide it, the girl will feel the dissonance, they have a 6th sense to detect guy who aren’t sure of what they are doing is right and thus will be more likely to respond with one of those tests i mentioned above which will further escalate your nerves.

So being confident requires preparation, not just telling yourself “yeah i’m gonna put a facade of confidence” and see if they don’t realise that deep down I’m fucking nervous.

You got the half part right. But what you say and how you say it also matter. Yes, the society molds men and women into 2 different ways. Women can get easily turned off if what you say triggers her red flag. On the other hand women could say crazy things and you still get a boner in your pants as long as you think there’s still a chance.

But that doesn’t give you an excuse to blame the society or women, just play the cards you’re dealt with.

You don’t have to smile constantly. I don’t smile very often. But I’m pretty good at small talks. First I thought that was my flaws. But the women I’ve known told me that they appreciate my smiles more because I don’t smile easily. Believe it or not, you can smile with your eyes. It’s called smizing look it up, it gives a much better impression than just smiling.
