So I’m newly single and have to make some decisions. I’m currently living in a big house by myself with a sick in ground pool/hotub (awesome for parties and get togethers) in the suburbs (ex gf recently moved out) and there is a small city where my brand new job is but it’s about 20/25 minutes away. The bar/late night scene is awesome when it was pre-corona.

I should sell my house for financial planning reasons but don’t have to but it’s probably best. I always figured if I was single I would get an apartment walking distance from the bars which would have been epic for being single but 1) Corona so no bars 2) I’m getting kind of old at 37. I had done some fun stuff there in the past like make out with three different girls I just met at the same bar in the same night. Is night game really going to be my thing going forward? Probably, if covid clears up. I just need to not drink too much if I party late. I’m really focused on work right now.

I like the privacy of a house though. I guess another option is to sell this house and rent a smaller house, or town house, that’s walking distance or a short uber ride from downtown. This would also make for a good work commute IF my office ever opens back up.

So many variables here it’s tough to make a decision. Right now homes like mine are selling for a big premium because everyone is moving to the suburbs.

Edit; oh yeah and I recently made a home gym which is covid-clutch.
