I once saw a meme that said "My personality is based on my favorite character of the show I am currently watching". Back when I saw it I thought that this was just a joke, but I have realized that it has some truth to it. I remember that one of my best moments in game was whenever I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and I was so into the story. I remember seeing Dutch Van der Linde in the game and being impressed by his charm and leadership skills. It was more like an admiration. I understood that he was a fictional character, but it impressed me how he even was able to charm me, a real person. I did not copy his tactics per se, however; part of his personality stuck with me and I remember some approaches I did at that time and I was just so charming.

Today I am re-watching Narcos: Mexico. This TV show has one of the most realistic depictions of a visionary leader. Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo in this TV show is so incredible. Seeing him close deals with ease, leading bosses of different cartels, how he is respected by them, its just incredible. I understand that he is just a fictional character too, or well, Netflix's depiction of the real Felix. However, I would love to acquire some of his alpha personality traits.

Now, one of my thoughts about this topic back then was that acquiring personality traits from TV shows was lame and beta as fuck. How could one base their personality off of a TV show? But today I see that even if they are, myself included, doing this, its perfectly normal and it might be a good way to learn. We mostly learn by example, and this is a great way to learn by example.
