Do an activity, rather than a something passive. Bowling, pool, mini-golf, hiking, or even just going for a walk. The activity itself provides a solid conversational foundation that you can always fall back to re-ignite the conversation, should it ever die. For example, playfully saying "Are you sure you've played pool before" after she misses. This makes it so much easier for both parties as they don't have to focus entirely on each other. But make sure you're always talking.
Treat her like a good friend, or younger sibling and JUST BE PLAYFUL. Dude, you're just enjoying life. Having a nice interaction with another human being. Tell jokes, be awkward, smile a lot, laugh. Go for a high-five, tap her on the shoulder and show her something funny you saw, etc. This isn't you auditioning for a part, this is you loving life, and this other person just so happens to be there as well.
The way you say stuff impacts how she will perceive it. Saying "You're a terrible person" with a serious tone and straight face, and then saying it with a playful grin convey two entirely different messages.
Eye contact. It's probably the most fundamental form of sexual attraction. Every second she isn't looking at you, is a second she has time to think about something else.

This is solid advice, but I'll add my 2 cents...

Be yourself. That does NOT mean making the same jokes you'd make to your nerdy guy friends... That means making jokes that YOU think are funny and that you think she SHOULD find funny.

Same goes for opinions. Don't agree with her on everything. Be a man and show conviction in your beliefs.

If you want her to be attracted to you you've got to show her your personality. There's a chance that in doing so she'll decide she isn't attracted to you. Either way you get your answer. If you don't, then you're playing to lose.

Let her do 70-80% of the talking. Don't try to be like her. She has feminine energy and will be all excited, giddy, etc. Your masculine energy should be calm and non reactive. But don't be afraid to show passion.

By the end of the first date she should NOT know all about you. Be mysterious.
