I've gotten to the point where I'm comfortable looking a girl straight in the eye confidently and say hi. The problem is I don't know what to say after the initial contact.

For example: I went to the hair salon today and got my haircut. Chatted with the hairstylist about random things. I went to the counter to pay and locked eyes with the cute girl behind it. I smiled a sly smile and said hi. I know she liked me instantly. I asked how she was doing. She says good. Then I stand there awkwardly until my stylist came up to finish me.

So what the hell do I say? I'd like to have a little small talk with a girl to make sure she's not totally retarded.
