This is a follow up to my FR about me going on a date with an HB9 I work with this weekend. I'm just wondering... what's wrong with dinner? One thing I hear a lot is that you can't have a lot of fun and can't get a lot of kino in during dinner, which I understand, and I also hear all the time something along the lines of "every hot girl gets taken out to dinner, do something unique".

Only thing different in my situation is that this girl's only 19 or 20 (I never actually asked her exact age, but I know kids she graduated in the same year as in her high school) so I can pretty much guarantee she's never been taken out to a restaurant nicer than Applebees on a date (and if she has, it was by her grandma).

Also, I was planning on going to dinner for maybe an hour or so, then heading downtown to make up for the lack of kino in the dinner (5 minute ride) by walking around with her while the sun sets, and getting some ice cream or Italian Ices. In my unprofessional opinion, this is sort of the best of both worlds. Get to show her my serious and suave side at dinner, have some nice conversation and make lots of eye contact and shit, but then get to relax, have fun, and get all touchy feely with a fun second half of the date.

So I ask you, is going out to dinner really that bad in this scenario? Especially if I follow it up with something fun other than the ever so corny "dinner and a movie".
