For me it was the first time I tried the three second rule... Cold approached and f-closed a 6' tall, gorgeous blonde girl who just got her MD from Columbia University.

In bed she said to me... "You know why I was so attracted to you? By the way you just immediately approached me out of nowhere... It was so bold and confident..."

Meeting other PUA's and seeing it in action.

I had limiting beliefs about being short and Asian.When I saw PUA's that were short & Asian in action...I realized I had no excuse. If they can do it, I sure as heck can, esp since I considered myself better looking than they were.

As far as personally...there's never really one magic moment. You hit various milestones and reaffirm your belief.

Read some of David Deangelo's mails from his newsletter about 8 years ago (not sure if he still does that) and tried some of that 'cocky funny' stuff: making fun of/with girls from the very start and agreeing and amplifying their shit tests. Lo and behold, rather than being offended turns out chicks loved it! Big eye-opener.

And actually, to be honest, that's about the only PUA-related thing I ever really consciously tried.

Ever since that I've just used being a social guy with and interesting life, balls and humor (lots of teasing!) and I'm perfectly ok with what that gets me.

Still love analyzing, reading and contemplating about the stuff though :-) I just never go out and think 'ok so tonight let me try to kino some more' or whatever.

I noticed a lot of little techniques worked, but I was never sure if I wasn't just getting over my own inhibitions and using my natural talents. But then I did a bait hook reel release on a girl, then rolled off by turning away, and then she grabbed me and pulled me back towards her and started qualifying herself to me. That's straight out of the book. I was kind of stunned how well it worked. But then I blew the set a couple of minutes later. Oops.

I was doing fine before I discovered the community, but what made me "join" the community was when I read The Game. Every other page mentioned shit that I had done in some shape or form. And every other page caused me to look back on my past "failures" and realize exactly what went wrong.

One of the biggest things for me was learning about kino and escalation. I was never a "natural" kinoer, but now I do it all the time. Shit works, and it makes everything less awkward.

When I went out to a social meeting at a bar and after fighting off an AMOG (trying to keep me from talking to the girls) got a black girl super interested after refusing to buy her a drink. Mainly watching people who knew what they were doing in action. But the main PUA stuff that I implement are concepts of body language, dominance and certain lines. A lot of the theories make sense so it wasn't a real surprise to see it work.

I just started to go out regularly but I notice girls sometimes get flustered when I hold my frame and when I position my body a certain way.

After a long hiatus I'm single again and a bit accustomed to only talking to one woman. I had a very long antisocial stint as well.

In college, I'm now consciously trying to pick girls up again, which is what led me to this subreddit. The first day I came here I read something that I think Tofu wrote about asking loaded questions rather than basic ones. Engaging people in conversation by asking questions that you honestly want to know the answer to. This has been an extremely helpful realization and I applied it that very day. Made HB8 laugh a lot because I was able to push through the small talk and really act like my natural self. #-close.

That is when I knew that PUA stuff worked.

Since I've started applying PUA technique my f-close rate on new girls has gone up about 400%. I was skeptical, then pleasantly surprised.

The actual moment, though? When I was facebook chatting some really hot brunette I hadn't seen in years (we were never friends, not sure why we were connected on facebook), built a good rapport, and arranged a date in less than an hour. Went on the date, escalated kino, k-closed with style, and then f-closed shortly thereafter.
