Today, for the first time in my life, I gathered enough courage to cold approach a girl.
We had a really great chat and she was really friendly (even offering me some strawberries that she had bought). I ended up asking for her number which I got. Then I asked what her plans for today were and she said were about to head over to a nearby park to take a walk (she was a foreigner visiting my country and wanted to see the city). I asked if I could join her for the walk to which she agreed.
We then went to the park and talked about all kinds of things like what we were studying, plans for the future, differences between our countries and stuff. I felt that the seemed really interested in me. She smiled a lot and kept lots of eye contact. After some time, I asked if she wanted to go grab a coffee to which she also agreed. Later when we were sitting at a cafe I asked if she wanted to go out later to which she seemed interested (I had asked her earlier if she wanted to experience the nightlife in my city). We didn't plan anything specific, but agreed that we would contact each other later, she even said "see you" when we she left.
I've now tried texting her and she has seen my message but has never responded.
Things I might have done wrong.
- , I wrote her back only half an hour later with a suggestion on a place we could go to. That might have made me appear a bit too desperate.
- I didn't pay for her coffee, maybe she expected me to do that?
I'd appreciate you guy's perspective!
