Area 51 is probably the best place if you can sneak through security

Lol. Seriously I’ve found women through mutual interest activities. If you can make time for any type of way to meet people outside of work, whether its group exercise or volunteering or whatever, its all a numbers game. The more people you meet, the more likely you’ll find someone you’re into

33 years old, working full time. Mostly approach women whenever and wherever I see them - like, on the street when I'm on my way home from work, or at a coffee shop if I happen to be at one with a friend. I find that women respond to daytime approaches better than nighttime approaches (at clubs or even in their vicinity), and I had comments about how "rare it is for someone to be this bold, but not rude at the same time.

I'm a woman but I used to get asked out at work networking events and volunteer events. I'm really shy and don't get out much so outside of this, it was online.

So work networking events is absolutely off the table for me ever since the bs metoo movement. Id love to ask out a few women from work but the potential repercussions are massive. A potential harassment charge on your record forever just because you ask someone out who doesnt like you. What type of volunteer events?

Metoo or not, I always stick to the old adage: dont shit where you eat/sleep.

Id have to disagree with you on this one. You spend 40 hours a week around attractive women who are somewhat like minded, have a decent job, educated, and share a lot of common experiences. In many ways, they are the optimal mates for you. Example: In college, it was so easy to talk to women in the same class as you. You already have 2 common experiences that you could always fall back too (school and that class)

Nahhh, I never dated women at work. Just avoid that like the plague. Too many bad things can happen. Women are overly dramatic and emotional. You deal with a woman at your job or workplace, you asking for trouble. If it goes bad, and she acts out, you'll regret you ever did. Go out into the world and meet a woman, not where you work.

That's really sad you all have that fear. How did you all feel about it before the me too movement? You of course should distance from liars. I think women who lie about things just straight ruin it for others and I hate them. You have to check your own actions too....you could be in the wrong and not realize.

My main point of this, as well as most guys, is that you dont know you are dating a liar/false accusser until its too late. Lets assume 75% of women dont lie. 25% do and will falsely accuse upon breaking up. You dont know who these women are until it happens. That is where the risk lies.

I’ve never bought into it myself. I drive city buses and work with around 300 people at my garage. We spend countless hours hanging around each other while we have splits or layover time and chemistry comes easily. We also have a high turnover rate so new faces are always coming and going. I find it incredibly hard to not ask any of the women out for drinks and have been asked out by several. Passing up on that seems counterproductive to me, but of course I understand why people feel the other way as well.

That is true. Also for clarity on the networking it was with other people in the industry. Not coworkers.

Yea that part sucks..I'd never do that to a man but some women lie and ruin it for when real occurences happen. The me too movement is very much real though. Not bs. I have had truly inappropriate stuff happen to me, I've just never told anyone else and honestly won't. I say my piece to the person directly and move on. Just had to add that. Not all women lie and I'm not supportive of women who do.
For the volunteer events things like soup kitchens, thrift stores inventory, habitat for humanity and adopt a road clean up. I've participated in all. Fun and you are forced to chat with other participants.

All women say that until you break up with them. Then anything goes and thats where the potential false allegations happen. Ive been threatened with false allegations before when living with a girlfriend. Threatening to bruise herself and calling the cops claiming I hit her. Btw, this relationship was great for 2 years prior to things falling apart. She only started to behave this way when the break up was inevitable. Im sure things happen both ways, but its pretty bad for a lot of guys out there too
Also, good info.... Ill look into some of those things
