I feel so ashamed.

I have been friends with a girl for awhile. She moved away and is now back. We went to lunch and she hung out at my apt. I didn't make my move physically when I had the chance. I did lightly touch her on the shoulder and she did cry about her grandmother dying and I rubbed her back (we were in car couldn't hug). Now I'm pretty much in the friend zone from what I can tell.

I do not want to be in this zone, so I feel like just 99% backing off with no replies or anything. Yesterday at work I told her I was having friends over to play League of Legends. She texted me around 9:40 asking how it was going, and I decided not to reply and focus on my fun :). She showed up at my apt at 11:15 randomly. I'm pretty sure she hinted to wanting to hang out tonight. I get way too many mixed signals from her, and I'm not sure if I should just become an "ultimate challenge" or just try and go for it.
