there is a question on my mind where I just did not find any answer at all. After my last short-time girlfriend left me, I realized that almost every time I was dumped (long and short term relationships, but mostly short time), the girl gave me some small gift.

For me, this is kind of odd. Why would you give someone a gift that you have dumped? As this behavior also seems kind of unusual, I think there is a reason why I happens to me so often.

Do you have any clue?
