Me and this girl have strictly been friends for about 6 months. I didn't try to get with her when I met her because I hadn't quite gotten the hang of this seduction stuff yet. I've been happy with our friendship though, she's a cool girl to have around. However, the other night we were talking in my living room, joking around about stupid shit. I said something that made her laugh, she held my hand and got real quiet while maintaining super strong eye contact. I thought why not, went in for a kiss. She turned away and was like "no no don't do that, we're just friends you know that" bla bla bla. Pretty much expected it, whatever.

Thing is, after that, it was like it had never happened. She didn't get weird on me or anything, it didn't really change anything between us. It just kinda clicked for me that there's really nothing at stake when making a move, even if it's totally uncalled for and you know the girl isn't interested. If doesn't undo any "progress" you've made, there's no reason to feel anxious or weird about it.

I know this is out of context as I'm not dating her like most people in this sub, but it was still a situation that made me remember there's no harm in just going for it.
