That's a very general guide. The perfect wingman would open sets for me. We would have a code if the girls are primed for me to move in. For example, I would stop by the set and say, "have you seen Catherine?" That's the code asking if he's ready to introduce me. He would either say yeah, she's at the bar (this means not ready) or no, but you should meet blah and blah. Then he would introduce me by saying something like, this is my best bud Jason. He just got back from Peru where he hiked up Machu Pichu and learned to make the pisco sour. Then, he would let me take my pick of the one I want. This is done by the woman I neg. Then he clears the path by helping me isolate my target. That means keeping the one I don't busy, so I can convince my target to move to an area where we can talk. It's the wing's job to keep the friend busy until I'm done with my target. There's a lot of other subtle things a wingman can do but mostly, that's a wingman...

Show up, subtly DHV your wing, disappear.

Seem like a cool guy who's having fun on your own, so when you "disappear" it should be back to another conversation, not to stand there like a wallflower, which makes your participation in their conversation seem rehearsed.

I have a great wingman relationship with a friend of mine. We usually start the conversation with a given woman together, and whenever one of us becomes more invested, the other will leave and occupy the friends of the woman. By now he usually recognizes when I am interested in a woman, and vice versa. If we don't recognize it we'll just state it in a foreign language. We also genuinely enjoy each others company, so we will almost unconsciously speak positively about each other to other people. Almost all of my latest successful encounters with women have involved him in some way or another.

Be having fun. If you're all having fun, girls will assume you're all fun guys. By you having fun, you're showing that these guys are fun to be around.

When it comes to actual conversation with girls, help your friends isolate by keeping the attention of whatever girls they're not interested in and being a cool, fun guy.
