So I'll preface this by saying I'm not the greatest at conversation starts but can generally carry on a conversation once it's been directed in a certain direction. There is a girl at work who I know I have a least a bit in common with but really haven't had a non-work related conversation with her before. I work the helpdesk at the office and during the day I'm basically locked in the server room so your general office socializing doesn't happen much for me. Because of this I'm unsure of an approach to even get a general gauge if she's interested or not. Also not sure if she's already seeing someone. She's been here since I started which was over 2 years ago so I kinda feel if I just went up and tried talking to her at her cube it'd be a bit forced.

Also is this even worth the trouble since if it goes wrong it could make day to day things a bit awkward since there's really no way of avoiding her at that point.
