I have an upcoming court date. Backstory… I left my wife who has not worked for 7 years which we have been married for 6. I got tired of being treated less than when I worked two jobs so she could stay at home with her kid( which is not mine). Once I said that I wasn’t happy with everything and my life. She called me selfish and said that I didn’t care about her. Once I called her bluf and told her I was done, she then wanted to go to counseling and act like she cared about me. I had about 34 grand in our joint checking of which she cleaned every dime out and put it into another account. I am in the army so I have to pay for her amenities. In which is about 3 grand a month to include mortgage, car note, insurance, water, electricity, phone, and every other bill. I’m now in debt because I had zero dollars for a lawyer and life goes on and I still have bills to pay. Also I listed a vary tenuous settlement offer with alimony which she said no to. Before she wanted the following. Most of our marital property. She wanted 90 percent of the house which is in my name. She wants her vehicle which is in my name. She wanted 5 years of alimony. I guess my question is what should I expect from our first court date? Does anyone have any insight?
