Ok. So I had posted on here a while back. My divorce has been going on almost 5 years. I have spent 145k on attorneys. I was constantly going to court for false accusations. My first attorney who I loved. I had to part ways with. It became a conflict of interest because her 3rd attorney quit because she said in court she’s a sorry excuse for a woman. well my attorneys office hired her so automatically became a conflict of interest. (Which is bullshit to me). So I waited before hiring another one figuring I could get some stuff done myself. I filed a motion to have a trial date for divorce. We had the court date her attorney motioned I can’t do that because I am not the petitioner, so I basically have my hands tied behind my back. Well the judge said this has been going for too long. And set a date for October 2023. It gets postponed to April 2024. What’s frustrating is I can’t take her or her other kids off my insurance until the divorce is finalized by law. And paying her child support while having 50/50 custody. And her making 40k more than me. Fast forward I hired a new attorney we did discovery for the past 14 months, and only financials. She kept asking for more time which I didn’t know my attorney was giving her. It pissed me off. A week before court her attorney sends discovery for the last 6 years. Financials, anyone I’ve ever slept with, dated had around our daughter. I’ve been dating the same woman almost 4 years we can’t even live together because she’s not allowed around my daughter from 9pm till 9am. Anyways. I complied with it, well just the financials part, because the rest was just absurd to me.
Court day 8 hours long going back and forth to come to an agreement no more child support but she will get to choose what school she goes to and her mom has her more days during the school year.(which hasn’t worked out so far with getting in trouble at the end of the school year and her not getting any sleep or being on a schedule) but summers are 7 days on 7 days off. I was ahead in child support a little over 4K which she did not want to surrender. So I made a deal where she can use that money for doctors appointments I.e counseling since she has her in that coaching her everytime she goes. Until it runs out. Oh and discovery that was done by her she never turned it in. Because mow she’s making around 150k/year. Says she has no money just bought a brand new suv and went to Disney world with my daughter and her other 3kids and ones gf. Anyways judge agrees says we’re divorced. YIPPEE. The part that has me so pissed is her attorney wanted to write up the order. Told me 4-6 weeks till it is done. It’s still not done. I can’t get them off my insurance stop childsupport until there is an order. (Oh and childsupport is messed up and taking double out every month for the last three years and can’t fix it). My attorney said she can do it but it will cost me. I’m not paying anymore money to these scam artists. What else can be done to expedite this.
