I saw a similar post here about how to answer "what are you looking for" from guys, if they ask that on a dating app. I am not going to use apps currently while everyone is social distancing/quarantined plus I literally just got out of a relationship of just over a year 2 days ago so it'll be a few months before I try. However, I still wanted to ask if it's appropriate to say something like the following to all men who message me so that I can weed out stupidity before it even starts:
Hi! Thanks for sending me a message. Before we converse further, there are a couple things I'd like for you to know:
1) I will only do dinner for first meetings. No "grab a drink" or "coffee" meetups.
2) Before planning a dinner date, I require a phone call with you first.
3) I am looking for a serious relationship that will lead to marriage.
Hope to chat more with you, and if not, best of luck in your search!
Is that too upfront with expectations or giving away too much strategy? I am 100% sure that LVM would be like "LOL NOPE" and unmatch which is exactly what I'm going for. I also realize that probably only < 1% of men would actually continue the conversation after that reading that, but that < 1% is who I want to talk to and I'm not gonna settle for anyone outside of that group. I also plan to circular date, and not be exclusive with anyone (and also not sleep with anyone, until someone truly steps it up and realizes they don't want competition) but I don't want to put that in my message because it gives away too much strategy.
