We were talking one day post-breakup (tried the whole "let's be friends" thing, protip, don't do that) and he told me something that's actually a good word to remember.

He said, "Anxious-American, if you're gonna date somebody, don't go for the man that's easy to get. You're not gonna be satisfied with him at the end of the day. Shoot for the man that feels like he's too good for you, the one 'out of your league,' because you don't know if he's actually unwilling to go for you. That's the man who's worth it."

Honestly, not gonna lie, trying to abide by that one in my current dating life. My ex is an abuser, so you wouldn't expect to get that kind of insight from him, but I guess that's what he did when he decided to pursue me? 🤷

Go for the good one, ladies!
