I am on the end of series 2 of Pretty Little Liars. At the time I didn't think too of the messed up Spencer being groomed and targeted by her sisters' boyfriends and Aria being groomed by her teacher. Now I find it alarming that both the families of Spencer and Aria don't protect their daughters.

In an ideal world Spencer would have told her family and they would have supported her in realising it is wrong for 20 something guys to go after a girl aged 15/16. Her sister would be outraged and would of dumped her boyfriends.

Aria's family would have immediately reported her teacher to the school and to the police. All this crap about protecting her, when the first step should have been reporting him. But her dad is a hypocrite as he had an affair with one of his graduate students. Some how taking advantage of power dynamics with someone he has power over is completely fine.d

All of the girls are complete pick mes, but I doubt the A game would have lasted if they had healthy relationships with their friends and family.
