Excellent find. It's so disgusting to see proof that feminists actively want approaches to domestic violence to continue being focused on women and ignoring men. There's no acknowledgment of the new data, no acknowledgment that past data and even existing gaps are due to male victims not reporting, and no concern shown whatsoever to how a gendered approach reinforces this phenomenon. They just want all the funding to go towards helping women, and don't give a rats ass about male victims.

Abhorrent. Feminism is about equality, my ass.

This was in the news a bit, a couple of weeks ago. Apparently the Council of Europe thinks that the Dutch approach of domestic violence, which is pretty gender neutral is not good enough. It is supposed to see women as default, weak victims, and because it does not do so, apparently more women will be victims. Men be damned I guess.

I have not read the report itself, but the press release (linked in this thread) does not even seem to consider the fact that men are victims of domestic violence. Much different from what government statistics show. For the non natives: the green stream is women, the blue one is men (431k versus 316k) it is about victims of domestic violence in the last 5 years. The second split is about people who have experienced domestic violence once, or multiple times. The last split is about structural domestic violence, where 76k women have been abused by an (ex-)partner and 13k men.

I'm glad we don't follow whatever weird thing they propose, because it sounds they want to leave men SOL.

Footnote: checked the report for like 30 seconds. There is a single note about shelters for men (to my knowledge there are 6). Not a single note that this is not enough at all, most of the talk is about "womens shelters". From scrolling through this whole report is sexist like crazy, apparently men are some kind of castles who are free from abuse. Would be a good world to live in.
