Women like her will even go so far as to say that I’m intimidated by intelligent, ambitious women. As you might already be guessing, this is completely untrue and a huge unfounded claim. In fact, I would properly refer to it from now on as “the myth”.

Let me explain what I mean:

The implied criticism there is that we men supposedly prefer bimbos and airheads and don’t like our dates to have any independence and intelligence.

That is a complete fallacy. In fact, I think this is just female anti-self-criticism mechanism projecting things onto men. Honestly, we don’t want women who “can’t converse or dream”… In fact, all things equal, we love intelligent, independent, rebellious women.

Are you saying that if a woman was kind, loving, compassionate, understanding, looked like a playboy model and threw herself at me, that I would reject her if I learned that she also had a PhD?

I believe this myth is an excuse that unbearable, negative, asocial women use to avoid self-criticism. It is a criticism they direct at men, so as to avoid looking at the mirror. A completely unbearable, grating, negative, bitter, pessimistic woman that’s a drag to be with, will actually claim that guys don’t like strong-independent women.

I can get the exact same social needs met by a close male friend. He won’t hold me up to anywhere nearly as high standards as the average woman. He won’t make me jump through hoops to win him over and prove myself worthy of his friendship. He’s just there for me. He’s accepting, compassionate and understanding.

Women need to understand that we don’t owe you anything
