This is yet another reason women will never be a significant factor in STEM fields (unless they force the govt to enforce hiring quotas). Its all about the bell curves and evolutionary biology. Very few women in the IQ>120 range which is the range that dominates in STEM.

It's interesting as such a large discrepancy in neocortical synapses and neuron count in general only contributes to a difference of 10-20 IQ points. However i'm sure somehow those parts of the brain contribute to irrationality, lack of self-critical behavior in women. I've always believed meta-cognition shows a persons ability to learn and adapt the best despite their current state of knowledge. It also shows self understanding and gives one the ability to recognize rational thought from impulse. It's one of the reason (obviously without any scientific evidence of connection due to 'ideologically correct science') that I think males have generally invented everything.
