After reading the headline, I was just going to pop on and say, "It isn't a question. Do it."

I'm approaching middle age, had the snip....oh...ten (?) years ago. Best decision I ever made. Never wanted kids. Lots of reasons. Most of them selfish, some not.

These days, I'm glad for it because I know I can't be trapped into paying an 18 year annuity to some bitch who's going to get tired of me after a few months/years. I'm doing well in my career, and only going up.

And I'm hoping that one day, after bare-backing it with some chick, she'll show up and try to play pin-the-tail-on-the-father, and I can out her as a gold digger. Hell, just out of spite, I wonder if I shouldn't wait it out until she's beyond the time when abortion is even a possibility anymore.

Coincidently, I was giving this idea some thought. I think every 18-year-old male should give it some serious thought. There is really no positive benefit for a male in having sex with a female other than the momentary sensation of the act. There are all kinds of bad things that will follow the sex act. One that could be eliminated is by having vasectomy. In addition, from a political stand point, it could be a platform for public debate by demanding public funding of vasectomy. I think it is a subject worthy of consideration.

Some people are against it because they feel it emasculates or makes them impotent or something.

I'm 21 and if I ever decide to give dating a try then I'd probably get a vasectomy first. I figure if for some reason I change my mind about having kids then I could get it reversed or send my splooge to a sperm bank beforehand.

I don't really trust a girl to keep up with birth control or to not sperm jack me, so I think this is the best way to take matters into my own hands to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

I had been mulling the decision to get a vasectomy after I was separated from my now ex wife. I have a consultation with a urologist in a few weeks and it's something I had to put off, because apparently, up until we were officially divorced, a urologist may refuse the procedure due to fear of liability from the spouse.

Last year I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, long-story-short, one of the chemo meds is a form of thalidomide, which causes birth defects.

The company that makes it has me do a monthly survey testifying that I will not donate my blood or my semen (like I'd do that anyway), but, they also say I should use a latex condom even if I have a vasectomy.

All that being said, even if I did not have this challenging ailment, I would want it just for peace of mind.

I lost count at how many pregnancy scares and pregnancy "fakes" (I think ex girlfriends used it as a means of control if hey thought I was slipping away from the relationship), so the vasectomy combined with a latex condom is the ultimate form of insurance in regards to being in control over men's reproductive freedom.

One last note; whether you plan on getting a vasectomy and plan on being celibate or not, I wouldn't volunteer that piece of information unless you are asked about it by someone whose business it is, like a potential fiancé (Don't get married, though !!! Trust me!!!)

I got one, mainly because I'm divorced and I've made piece with the fact that I have a high sex drive and the risk is way lower to get the vasectomy. It was painful for about 10 days, first 5 being the worst, after that I was back to normal. I have 4 kids, one son and 3 daughters, I drop red pill hints to my son all the time, pointing out the differences of how his mom treats her new cuck to how I live my life, I think he's starting to catch on. I also tell him that women should always be his last priority and school him on financial and life wisdom, something I had to learn for myself as my father (who was a good father, but in different ways) never taught me. A lot of guys here, (the younger ones I suspect) seem to be against the vasectomy or are holding out hopes for vasalgel. I personally am happy with my decision.

I absolutely feel vasectomy should be a seriously thought out option if you intend to MGTOW, but only in the case that you truly never want marriage and children and that's your way to go. If by MGTWO you mean you wake up and decide to rule your marriage with an iron fist one day, then that's your own business.

if you want to control your reproduction, and if you don't you're saying to women (if you have sex with them) that you desperately want them to control it, then get a vasectomy.

It is incredibly freeing when you do it. You know that you will never be the name coming out of the envelope "DangZagnut, you are not the father". Damn right I'm not.

And when you get one, no one ever needs to know about it. You should never tell anyone you had one. Ever. No one needs to be informed. Keep that little nugget to yourself for if it ever comes up.

Reversal rates of success are pretty high if you become stupid and decide you can't live without the feeling of a small humanoid shitting itself at 3am and you haven't realized a dog is a better waste of money.

Just get one. Otherwise someone else controls you (unless you go complete monk, which is fine) but you never know when you'll get drunk and stupid.

It's like getting vaccinated against measles. Its one less problem to worry about. Are you going to take a risk with that shit? You're signing yourself up to a lifetime of misery pumping out an unauthorized kid, and you know damn well she's going to suddenly be anti-abortion the second you knock her up.

Got mine at 21. Late 20s now, best decision I ever made. I'm sure it saved me from at least two "oops" with girls trying to latch on. Definitely worthwhile and major peace of mind.
