That's awesome work. I've never been good at the visual arts myself, and things like this make me wonder if I'm too old to learn.

The single mother narrative is awful these days. Just this past week I was at some place that had broadcast TV running (I only stream at home, so I never get commercials), and they had this fucking engagement ring commercial... it so pissed me off. It was some dude nervously asking for permission to marry some woman, though it was from the perspective of what most would assume was the soon to be father-in-law. The twist was that it was the woman's fucking kid!!! The tag line was something like "You're not just marrying her, you're marrying her whole world."

Yup, we're past the decline of traditional values and now at the point where we're celebrating the fucked up situation we're in now. I was truly disturbed by that commercial. Not "literally shaking" disturbed, but it really made me pause to think at how fall we've fallen, and I was not pleased.
