Only went shooting once, a loooong time ago, 4 of us, 2 couples, chick at the counter just gave us the 2 pistols and iirc 2 boxes of ammo, not even sure how many. A glock (not sure which one, looked like the 17 (?) one in vidya) and a revolver (stop asking, no idea). Was surprised the revolver seemed much easier to shoot (no blowback - is that the word for the gun dancing in hand?) than the semi auto. But of course, it was heavier, from memory.

Remember it took us tons of time to fill the semi clip. BUT not everything was bad. The empty bullet shells from the semi did fly into my then gf (stood on my right), so today I like the memory of that pewpew more. ]=)

Absolute beginners, all of us, loved the "ping" sounds from all the metallic scaffold around the targets. The targets, of course, came back more or less unscathed. Pffff, females. ]=)

Love 6.5 Creedmoor for its long range performance. What turns me off is the barrel life. By 2,000 rounds they start to show signs of wearing out. Still, a great caliber. Once the barrel life issue gets sorted, it will be golden.

The 6 calibers are the future of intermediate cartridges. 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel and 6.5 Creedmoor are all showing potential beyond more traditional options like 5.56 or .308 . . .

That should eliminate some variables. When I'm testing loads I always use a shooting bag.

The 6.5 is a round that you can really improve the accuracy using match rounds and or reloading.
