My senior year of college, I met a random girl and we arranged to meet at a restaurant/brewery downtown to eat for our first date. Amateur move, I know. This chick orders an appetizer, drink special, expensive entree, dessert, the whole nine yards. The entire time, she's talking about her ex. I told her at the end, I thought she should try working things out with him, then asked for separate checks. I'd intentionally avoided "trying a bite of" the app and her dessert. The next 5 minutes of her losing her shit, realizing she didn't have enough in her account to cover her meal while I paid my tab and left her there alone were priceless.

Went to the bathroom.. tracked down my waiter, paid my check and left.

If I buy someone a meal its a gift, not an entitlement.

This is somewhat unfortunate that most memes now are about futile things such as a 30$ meals. You young boys should remember what created this sub in the beginning. Divorce laws that lead to alimony, loses of your house, of your kids, of your dignity, and your sanity... That may be as high as 300 000$ in net loses, ... i.e. 10 000 times your ridiculous 30$ meal. THERE is your real battle, avoiding marriage and kids will be extremely difficult, but rewarding if accomplished sucessfully.

Been there done that. The end result was that she decided to gossip to her friends which happened to be my friends’ girlfriends. Sadly a lot of them were simping and would do anything for a crumb so I was cut out of that group. Fuck em. Granted I was a teen at the time but I now consider myself lucky especially when I compare what happened with me to all these other guys out here getting metood and blackballed for beating a woman at her own game.
