They pretend to be virtuous, caring, wholesome, etc. Some even go into tradcon circles and put on the mask of a good Christian girl seeking a good Christian boy. While their “traditional conservatism” is limited to obsession with the 50’s, nice church weddings, and sitting home while their husband is at work. I guess there are some women that genuinely believe in traditional values, but you’ll never know until it’s too late. Back then women basically had no options but to stay with their husbands and try to work things out.
