Hey guys. i've been subscribing to this subreddit for a month or two now. so far, i've seen a lot of people that are passionate about men's rights and gender equality, but i think 2013 should be the year we make a difference. i'm new to the movement or even to the subject of gender equality in general, so i have a few ideas of what i think can be done to help make this happen. if anyone has any other ideas, please feel free to post them.

  1. Spread the word. we're already pretty good at this, but we can step it up. talk to your friends. even if they don't like it, being heard is important.

  2. Ignore radical criticisms of men's rights. this seems counter-intuitive, but there have been multiple other posts regarding this. if you encounter someone that's just plain ridiculous, dont waste your or our time with him or her. as time goes on, these views will dissolve.

  3. learn the statistics. actually, this is more of a request so that i can use them when talking it up.

  4. be self-critical. this is important. although i see more of this here than in other movements, i think it is necessary for us to be able to make a difference. if you can criticize yourself, you need to fix it. don't be afraid to change your views or fix your thinking, and don't allow yourself to be satisfied with your views.

  5. make sure your main goal is gender equality. the last thing we want is to make women the enemy the same way the feminist movement made men an enemy. in fact, we might even want to consider helping change the feminist pattern of thinking. or starting a different movement for general gender equality.

  6. start posting some of these stories or news articles to more popular subreddits. this would be a good start towards getting more attention.

these are just a few ideas off of the top of my head. please, post more ideas of what we can do.
