i adored the comparison between an "empowered" man hitting his wife and an "empowered" parent hitting their child. for correctional attitude or otherwise.

"if power disparities mean that you have to have greater moral sensitivities, and there's no greater power disparity than a parent and a baby, then perhaps you could listen to your own complaints about men and perhaps stop hitting your babies."

i wish more people would get this. people always defend hitting a child as "we are the authority, and have the right to. and it is to educate them. it is for their own good" i always think that, if it should apply to them, i guarantee they wouldn't be so complacent if any empowered body was using that as an excuse to abuse them.

parental freedom shouldn't mean freedom to abuse in ways that would be unacceptable between adults. the wife being an adult shouldn't mean she deserves more protection from direct physical abuse.

I started watching Stefan's videos a long time ago and he definitely seems to be becoming more and more vocal about gender issues since his interview with GWW. He has a large following and will be a great boon for our message.

This a great video. But it would be awesome if he footnooted sources. Perhaps he does at the end.
