Men and boys on average in the United States are doing far worse than women and girls in virtually all parameters, inspite of the commonly held belief that there is a "patriarchy" in place.

[+]throwawaydonkey3 -2 points-1 points0 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well men are in charge mostly, the president and vp is a man, most governors are men. Go talk with your brothers and figure sumn out, no?

[–]MaleEducation1[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Uhh? Where did I mention women or even men in my comment?

I would love to raise more awareness about this to whoever is in charge and urge them to take actions whether they're men or women. It does not really matter to me what genitalia they have.

Good research, as usual.

[–]wackedoncrack 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Stellar reaearch....

Feminist academics have nothing to say to this. They've demonized objective data in the academy.

Everything studied is "thoughts and feelings"

[–]CrossboneSkulled 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The third one there "who are victims of robbery who are murdered". This is darned hellscape. If someone not feelin' triggered by this, then I never seen someone in my life, so bilge suckin' blind t' the damage that has been done.

This is wild

[+]eagle6927 -9 points-8 points-7 points 1 year ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Honestly putting the wars in there is a little weird

[–]MaleEducation1[S] 9 points10 points11 points 1 year ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I kind of agree, I just decided to copy everything from the original.

Anyways, combat deaths is also something predominantly related to males, since males can still be drafted for wars.

[+]eagle6927 -9 points-8 points-7 points 1 year ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but the civilian deaths are largely women and children. I just think we can exempt civic and international conflicts from discussions of gender inequalities. Less war benefits everybody

[–]RiP_Nd_tear 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but the civilian deaths are largely women and children.

That's a lie.

I just think we can exempt civic and international conflicts from discussions of gender inequalities.

No, we can't. Wars disproportionally harm men, therefore it's a gendered issue. You're just trying to distract from inconvenient truths.

Are you a feminazi, or something? With allies like you, no enemies are needed.

[+]eagle6927 -5 points-4 points-3 points 1 year ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Firstly… wild to get downvoted for the position that everyone is negatively impacted by war.

Secondly, I think it’s an embarrassingly juvenile position to say that war is a gendered issue and disproportionately affects men. It disproportionately affects the people of the country in which the fighting is taking place… including women too.

Lastly, complaining that war is a gendered issue exposes a massive victim complex and it’s sad. Isn’t life hard enough for men without making things that have nothing to do with being a man all about that?

Also to anyone throwing the down votes because I think civil conflict and war is a much more complicated issue than can be understood through conversation about gender… sorry about your male fragility. Get thicker skin and smarter thoughts.

[–]RiP_Nd_tear 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Of course, everything is nuanced... unless we talk about women's issues (if they even exist) - then suddenly everything is plain simple, and men are to blame.

Whom are you trying to gaslight here?

[+]eagle6927 -2 points-1 points0 points 1 year ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Weird, that’s not the argument I was having. I was debating that it’s not a sophisticated position to reduce war to a gender issue.

Why can’t you talk about men’s issues (and non issues) without complaining about women’s issues?

[–]RiP_Nd_tear 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why can’t you talk about men’s issues (and non issues) without complaining about women’s issues?

Because every time men attempt to do that, geniuses like you jump into the conversation, shouting "It'S nOt A gEnDeReD iSsUe!@!$#!@%!!".

Weird, that’s not the argument I was having. I was debating that it’s not a sophisticated position to reduce war to a gender issue.

Tell me, please: what demographic suffers the biggest amount of deaths and injuries during and after any war?

I'll spoonfeed the answer to you - it's men.

[–]Trick_Alps774 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

i think u/eagle6927 played way too much valorant so he's used to seeing women in combat

[+]eagle6927 -1 points0 points1 point 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Down_D_Stairz 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Firstly… wild to get downvoted for the position that everyone is negatively impacted by war.

Ye same way as everybody is negatively impacted by rape right? Or maybe there are some difference in men and women there?

[+]eagle6927 -1 points0 points1 point 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rape is an interpersonal conflict. War is international conflict. Almost like they’re not really comparable in a gender dynamics framework, yeah?

[–]Reasonable_Elk3267 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And what percent of combat deaths are women and children?
