In a town near where I live a teacher was sent to prison and he was required to register as a sex offender for having a consensual sexual relationship with an 18 year old student. Now mind you, he should have been fired and he should have lost his teaching license for having sex with a student, but being sent to prison and being made to register as a sex offender for having consensual sex with an adult? Meanwhile the military recruits 18 year olds(overwhelmingly male 18 year olds) to join the military to fight in wars where they’re killed, or disabled, or psychologically damaged for the rest of their lives. What does that say about America when an 18 year old female isn’t mature enough to decide who she is going to have sex with, but an 18 year old male is mature enough to decide to go to war, and not just any wars but unnecessary wars fought for dubious reasons?
