Marriage was always a shitty proposal for men no matter what social conservatives like to say, it took Feminists and Liberals with their shitty man hating attitudes to finally tip it over the edge and make men avoid marriage entirely because the only thing men got in marriage was a beautiful woman who was supposed to love them forever.

Now they get absolutely fuck all and in fact, sometimes have their lives ruined because of it, so it's only natural they're staying the fuck away from it.

The author of the article places the blame solely on feminist and liberal women. However, conservative and religious women often file for divorce for frivolous reasons, too, and will think nothing of using the family court system and the police against her husband.

Until things change for the better for men, the answer is MGTOW.

Though I agree with certain points made in this article, as a whole I found it to be very weak. He brings up issues that were not relevant to the story the article was based on (i.e. child custody, law enforcement involvement) and does so in an overly-brief and angry manner.

He also included blanket statements like these:

Let’s face it, divorce has major consequences for men while women usually benefit from the divorce system.

Lets face it, modern women face no consequences or stigma from divorce.

Today’s men see marriage as a rigged game where they can’t win.

do not help his case and distracts from stronger points the article could have made instead.

Also, the author's link to 'Pew Research' actually leads to an article from a "christian living portal" website further interpreting the Pew study which they did not directly link to either.

Seems kinda like ranting in a corner to me...

That being said, I don't plan to marry any time sooner or later.

I'm not sure why feminists and liberal women got all the credit, conservative women and the courts have all participated fully in destroying the institution of marriage...or at least making it the "sucker bet" to end all bets.

Bill Burr put it best, if you were going parachuting and they told you over 50% of the parachutes wouldn't open, would you do it? I decided in my early 20's I was never getting married. I plan on getting a surrogate in my mid 30's and having one son. Marriage in this day and age has become a scary prospect.
