Question regarding child support.

On a sidenote, how can a woman keep a child from their father for so long and not face any penalties or repercussions? Imagine if it was possible to take a child from a woman. I understand logistically that's impossible i'll just go with the idea. You would be charged with kidnapping and sued. But this happens all the time to men. I can't imagine some spending every day with my children, much less not knowing that they existed never seen them for a quarter of a century. I wish you the best of luck.

You would only be liable for back child support if there were an order for you to pay child support at the time (whether you knew that order existed or not). So if she went to court 20 years ago and was awarded child support, but they never found you to collect that child support, you'd still be liable.

But if she never sought child support, she can't go back now and file for it retro-actively.

IANAL, but I've taken a few legal courses, and the above seems what would logically be the case.

I'm not sure you should base whether you meet your daughter or not on a financial commitment. But no, she's 25 of course you don't pay child support at that age.

In most cases child support stops at around 18 to 20 years old. I really doubt it.

Just be there for your child. Support her if she needs it.

IANAL but that seems like a question for a lawyer. Statute of limitations. Wouldn't be surprised if it's up there with murder depending on the state. I'd guess you could still be sued for back support. And yes, that'd mean the law is keeping you all apart. That doesn't matter to the law because you are a man.
